FFL Transfers

Primo Pawn holds a Federal Firearms License and receives transfers for firearms bought elsewhere. Found a gun online, at auction or from a seller out of town? Have it shipped to us, and we handle the check-in, the paperwork and the background check so you can pick it up here, legally and without the runaround.

How a transfer works

1. 1Tell the seller or retailer to use us as your receiving dealer, and ask us to send them a copy of our FFL.
2. 2They ship the firearm to our store address with the paperwork inside the box.
3. 3We check it in and record it in our bound book.
4. 4You come in with a valid government photo ID, complete ATF Form 4473, and we run the background check.
5. 5Once the check clears and any state waiting period has passed, the firearm goes home with you.

Before you ship, and when you pick up

• Only the person the firearm was sold to can pick it up, with a current government-issued photo ID that matches the name and address on the paperwork.
• We accept shipments from licensed dealers only: gun shops, ranges, pawn shops and sporting goods stores. A firearm shipped by a private individual or from a home address is refused.
• A firearm that arrives without the right paperwork goes back to the sender’s nearest licensed dealer at the sender’s expense, and may carry a handling charge.
• A transfer that is not completed within one year of arrival is treated as abandoned.
• We are not responsible for damage in transit. Our care begins when the carrier hands the firearm to us and ends when it leaves with you or with a carrier.
• Firearms are never sold or shipped from this website. Every transfer is completed in person.
